In today’s world of modern snowboarding it’s easy to lose sight of its humble beginnings. When teenagers are spinning more rotations than we can count over giant kickers and Olympic medalists are well known names, it’s hard to imagine a time when someone was struggling to make people simply understand what a snowboard even was. And while even he admits no one man can take credit for “inventing” the snowboard, certainly nobody is more responsible for its worldwide acceptance than Jake Burton… READ MORE

If there’s one thing recent events have taught us, it’s that community is incredibly important. The isolation we’ve all had to face has only made us more eager to spend time with our fellow humans to connect on every level. Physically with renewed handshakes and hugs, emotionally with shared feelings and life lessons, and mentally with the simple joy of being with friends. With all that in mind, it was imperative that we reconvened at our lovely lakeside village near the foothills of the Catskill Mountains in Upstate New York to continue the tradition of Camp Nice… READ MORE

There’s no better way to start a new year than doing what you love, and during winter there’s nothing we love more than snowboarding. So it was only right to do it in some of the best mountains to be found in bountiful Utah. Luckily we have plenty of friends that agree, so we teamed up with Salt Lake City locals Fice Gallery and Alibi Bar for a full scale 2022 Utah Takeover… READ MORE

The life of a competitive snowboarder, like many professional athletes, is not exactly what most people would consider “fun”. There’s the grueling travel, with events scheduled all over the world, sometimes within days of each other. There’s the steady trepidation of someone always younger and better coming up to take over the top spot. And of course, the constant pressure of performing at your absolute best at all times, with the fear of not only losing a podium spot, but risking severe personal injury as well… READ MORE

There’s no problem a campfire can’t fix. Okay, maybe that’s a bit of an overstatement, but it’s an idea we like to live by at Camp Nice. What it means is that when you bring your family of friends together to enjoy some delicious food, craft beer, curated cocktails, mind bending music and gather around a campfire in the great outdoors… all your troubles seem to melt away (much like a cannabis infused chocolate on a toasted s’more). Throw in non-stop daily opportunities for adventure: from archery and axe throwing, to arts and crafts, boating, fishing, hiking, sports, yoga, wellness activities and more, and you have the absolute greatest adult camping experience on the planet… READ MORE

Over the last decade, Camp Nice has become an annual highlight for so many of us to live, laugh and love together in the outdoors and form bonds that will last a lifetime.  After this long, it’s now hard to imagine life without it, as so many campers look forward to that time in September when the days start to get a little shorter, the nights a bit cooler and we can all circle around the campfire in our favorite hoodies and beanies to warm our souls with wonderful food and friendship. Refreshments abound, with cheers a plenty and a communal feeling of joy and gratitude spreads across camp.  It’s this alliance of widely varied yet like-minded people and personalities that Camp Nice has always assembled that produces some of the best times of our lives… READ MORE

It’s said that friends are the family you choose, and judging by the group that joins together every year at Camp Nice, our family has never been stronger. Now in its 11th year, Camp Nice attracts outdoor enthusiasts from around the country to our private refuge in southeastern New York to gather around the campfire to celebrate their love for nature and adventure. It’s this annual tradition that has brought camp alumni back year after year while additional members continue to get welcomed into the fold… READ MORE
